"You know, I really enjoy forgetting. When I first come to a place, I notice all the little details. I notice the way the sky looks. The color of white paper. The way people walk. Doorknobs. Everything. Then I get used to the place and I don't notice those things anymore. So only by forgetting can I see the place again as it really is."

"I experience myself in the city and the city exists through my embodied experience. The city and my body supplement and define each other. I dwell in the city and the city dwells in me."

The idea of an Urban Wild comes from the Landscape Architecture program at Harvard, it's a green environment that inhabits a strange in-between within the greater urban landscape. An Urban Wild is usually born out of reclaimed industrial land and transformed into a natural environment.

An Urban Wild isn't truly nature, it has the markings of human hands upon it, but it isn't really a park, it is allowed to grow and develop as it pleases. It is a strongly encouraged wild landscape within the greater Urban environment.

In a sense, modern sportswear inhabits the same landscape. As sportswear, it isn't truly performance apparel. But at the same time, it doesn't inhabit a casual landscape. It, as the Urban Wild, is in a weird in-between area. A landscape it dictates for itself.
